 Mr. Lodwick is a pharmacist who specialized in the monitoring and dosing of warfarin.  He has been recognized by the National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers as a Certified Anticoagulation Care Provider.  This is the highest level of recognition in this field.  During the past eight years, people have made more than 35,000 visits to his clinic.  He is a member of the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists, The Anticoagulation Forum and a past-president of The Southern Colorado Society of Health-System Pharmacists.  Mr. Lodwick was the recipient of the 2006 Distinguished Coloradan Award given by the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy.  He has served as an expert consultant and witness in several legal actions, including a murder trial.  While he is no longer involved in active warfarin management, he continues to educate people in the firld of anticoagulation management.

  In 1998 he was recognized as having one of the ten best quality improvement projects among pharmacists nationwide by receiving the Abbott Laboratories Hospital Pharmacy Quality Awards.

  Mr. Lodwick has written many articles on warfarin therapy for Clinical and Applied Thrombosis/Hemostasis, Pharmacy Times, Managed Care, American Journal of Cardiology, Drug Benefit Trends and others.  He has given many talks to professional groups on the subject of warfarin.
